Key Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and proofread press releases to align with brand messaging and campaign objectives.
• Identify and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets across Africa and globally.
• Manage distribution through press release wires, direct outreach, and online PR platforms.
• Develop tailored media lists for specific announcements and target markets.
• Track coverage, measure distribution performance, and report results with actionable insights.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to integrate PR efforts into broader campaigns.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor press activity, and emerging media opportunities.
• Ensure all press releases meet industry standards, comply with AP style, and are optimized for SEO.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
• Proven experience drafting and distributing press releases with measurable results.
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
