Job Summary

• The Predictive Analytics Expert will provide technical leadership in predictive modelling, machine learning, statistical analysis, forecasting, and business intelligence. The successful candidate will support the design and implementation of advanced analytical frameworks that transform complex datasets into actionable insights, strengthen risk identification and forecasting capabilities, and support evidence-based planning and decision-making. The role will contribute to the development of predictive models, analytical dashboards, decision-support systems, and data-driven solutions across a range of governance, development, humanitarian, security, and private sector initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Predictive Analytics & Forecasting

• Design and develop predictive models to identify trends, patterns, risks, and emerging opportunities across diverse datasets
• Apply statistical modelling, forecasting techniques, and machine learning algorithms to support decision-making processes
• Develop risk prediction frameworks, scenario analysis models, and early warning mechanisms
• Conduct trend analysis and predictive assessments to support strategic planning and programme implementation
• Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Data Science & Advanced Analytics

• Analyse large and complex datasets from multiple sources to generate meaningful insights
• Develop and deploy machine learning models for classification, prediction, clustering, and anomaly detection
• Support the design of analytical methodologies, performance indicators, and measurement frameworks
• Apply advanced analytical techniques to support programme monitoring, evaluation, risk management, and operational improvement
• Conduct data mining and exploratory data analysis to identify hidden patterns and relationships

Business Intelligence & Decision Support Systems

• Design and develop interactive dashboards, reporting systems, and data visualisation tools
• Support the development of decision-support platforms that enable evidence-based planning and management
• Create automated reporting and analytical workflows that improve efficiency and accessibility of information
• Develop performance monitoring frameworks and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking systems
• Support the integration of predictive analytics into digital platforms and organisational systems

Data Management, Quality Assurance & Governance

• Establish standards and protocols for data collection, validation, management, and analysis
• Assess data quality and implement processes to improve data accuracy, completeness, and reliability
• Support the development of data governance frameworks and analytical best practices
• Ensure compliance with applicable data protection, privacy, and security requirements
• Maintain documentation of analytical models, methodologies, and datasets

Capacity Building, Innovation & Knowledge Management

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams and stakeholders on predictive analytics and data science applications
• Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Develop technical manuals, analytical guidelines, and user documentation
• Promote innovation through the adoption of emerging analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning technologies
• Contribute to organisational learning and continuous improvement initiatives

Educational Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, Operations Research, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline
• Professional certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields will be an added advantage

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 12 years' experience in predictive analytics, data science, machine learning, business intelligence, or related fields
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing predictive models, forecasting systems, and analytical solutions
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, SAS, or similar analytics and visualisation tools
• Experience applying machine learning techniques, statistical modelling, and forecasting methodologies to real-world challenges
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data management, and analytics best practices
• Experience working with large and complex datasets across governance, development, humanitarian, financial services, health, security, or private sector environments
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication, presentation, report-writing, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to translate complex analytical outputs into practical business and policy recommendations
• Experience supporting digital transformation, decision-support systems, or AI-enabled solutions will be an advantage
