Porter at Benin Medical Care

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport patients safely within the hospital (e.g., wards, theatre, radiology, and outpatient units)
• Assist with the movement of medical equipment, supplies, and documents
• Support clinical staff with non-medical tasks as required
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas
• Respond promptly to porter service requests across departments
• Ensure adherence to hospital safety and infection control protocols
• Handle patients with care, dignity, and respect at all times

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in a similar role (preferably in a hospital environment) is an advantage
• Good physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
• Basic understanding of hospital operations and patient care etiquette
• High level of discipline, reliability, and professionalism
