Plant / Process Operator II at Habrams Energy

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Plant / Process Operator II to support safe and efficient plant operations by monitoring equipment performance, coordinating operational activities, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Control Room Technician (CRT) and Operations Supervisor in managing safe and efficient plant operations.
• Perform equipment surveillance and monitor process conditions to ensure operational reliability.
• Coordinate with maintenance and contractor teams to establish safe work environments.
• Support start-up, commissioning, and systems completion activities.
• Review maintenance work packages, verify isolation requirements, and ensure safe work execution.
• Manage and endorse Work Permits as Area Operator (AO) and Isolating Authority (IA) when required.
• Participate in emergency response activities and support incident preparedness.
• Maintain operational logs, shift handover notes, and effective communication across teams.
• Ensure high standards of housekeeping and operational discipline.
• Perform process adjustments to maintain product quality within required standards.

Requirements

• Relevant industry experience in plant operations, process operations, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of production operations and industrial processes.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, PFDs, UFDs, and shutdown logic diagrams.
• Strong understanding of safety management systems, including:
• Permit to Work (PTW)
• Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Risk Assessment
• Step Back 5x5
• Emergency Preparedness Procedures
• Knowledge of Controls Integrity (CI), Production Operations Best Practices (POBP), and operational planning processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
• Strong commitment to Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with plant operations.
