Job Description:

• A physiotherapist is a healthcare professional specialized in optimizing movement and function of the human body.
• They play a critical role in rehabilitation and prevention of injuries, helping patients of all ages to maintain or regain physical independence and mobility.
• Physiotherapists assess patients' conditions, develop personalized treatment plans, and utilize various techniques such as exercise therapy, manual therapy, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation to improve strength, flexibility, and overall well-being

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with varying conditions such as Musculoskeletal, Surgery, Neuromuscular, Cardiorespiratory, Rheumatology, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
• Providing safe and effective interventions for treating patients.
• Advising patients on living a healthy lifestyle.
• Applying national standards and guidelines locally.
• Involving patients in decisions about their treating plans.
• Ward rounds with the health team
• Providing education and advice about exercise and movement.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor of Medical rehabilitation from an accredited Nigerian or International University
• NYSC Certificate is essential
• Sufficient clinical knowledge and evidence based practice to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role
