Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured Physics lessons in line with curriculum objectives
• Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities
• Guide students in practical laboratory work, experiments, and scientific investigations
• Promote scientific reasoning and problem-solving through real-life applications of Physics
• Assess, record, and report on students' progress, strengths, and areas of improvement
• Maintain discipline and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Prepare students for internal and external exams (e.g., WAEC, NECO, IGCSE if applicable)
• Provide academic support to struggling students and identify gifted learners for enrichment
• Collaborate with other Science teachers to align teaching plans and share resources
• Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
• Keep up-to-date with developments in Physics education and teaching best practices.

Requirements and Skills

• B.Sc. / B.Ed Degree in Physics, Physical Sciences, or related fields
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years of teaching experience in a secondary school
• Strong knowledge of Physics curriculum and exam standards (WAEC/NECO/IGCSE)
• Effective classroom management and lesson delivery skills
• Ability to simplify complex Physics concepts for easy understanding
• Experience with science laboratory procedures and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in the use of digital tools and educational technology
• Passionate about teaching and committed to student success
• Team player with a collaborative attitude.
