Physics / Basic Tech / Geography Teacher at The Quest Schools

Job Responsibilities

• Teach Physics, Basic Technology, and Geography to junior and/or senior secondary school students.
• Prepare lesson plans in line with the Nigerian national curriculum (WAEC, NECO, and BECE standards).
• Deliver engaging and practical lessons that enhance students’ understanding.
• Conduct assessments, tests, and examinations and maintain accurate student records.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
• Utilize instructional materials, laboratory equipment, and ICT tools effectively.
• Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom.
• Participate in staff meetings, school programs, and professional development activities.
• Perform other academic duties assigned by the school management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of B.Sc., B.Ed., or B.Tech in Physics, Geography, Engineering, Education, or related field.
• TRCN certification is an added advantage.
• At least 1-2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school.
• Good knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to teach practical and technical aspects of Basic Technology and Physics.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel etc.).
