About the role

• Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Mid-Level-senior Laravel/PHP Backend Developer to join the development team.
• The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5-6 years of professional experience in developing web applications using Laravel and PHP.
• As a Mid-Level Laravel/PHP Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic of our web applications, ensuring high performance and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain server-side code for web applications using Laravel and PHP. Collaborate with front end developers, designers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and implement new features.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs into the application architecture. Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure data security and user access control.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following industry best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of the application to ensure high-quality and error-free code.
• Collaborate with the QA team to identify and fix software defects and performance bottlenecks. Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, suggesting improvements to enhance the application's functionality and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and junior developers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and deliverables. Document technical specifications and system designs.

Requirements:

• Bacohelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 5-6 years of professional experience in Laravel and PHP development. Strong proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries. Solid understanding of RESTful API development and integration.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React) is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, coding standards, and design patterns. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
