Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will ensure safe and effective medication use, provide patient-centered care, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and provide clear counseling to patients.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other staff to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Manage inventory records, including procurement, storage, dispensing and expiry tracking of pharmaceuticals.
• Ensure compliance with PCN regulations, Nigerian drug laws, and hospital policies.
• Conduct medication reviews and audits to promote safety and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain precise documentation of prescriptions, interventions.
• Mentor junior staff and interns.
• Stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid license with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
• Minimum of 3 years Post NYSC experience.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian healthcare regulations and NHIS operations.
• Proficiency in pharmaceutical software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in computer applications relevant to pharmacy practice.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Familiarity with antimicrobial stewardship programs.
