    Pet Care Assistant

    Job Description

    • Animal Care & Handling: Feeding, watering, exercising, grooming, and bathing boarded or hospitalized pets.
    • Medical Assistance: Restraining animals during examinations, vaccinations, or blood draws.
    • Sanitation: Cleaning and disinfecting exam rooms, cages, operating rooms, and surgical equipment.
    • Clinical Support :Administering prescribed medication, monitoring patient status (temp, pulse, respiration), and assisting with diagnostic tests or X-rays.
    • Inventory & Support: Stocking, unpacking deliveries, and managing inventory levels.
    • Client Communication: Assisting with patient check-in, gathering patient history, and explaining care instructions to owners.
