Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Test Engineer to join our QA team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing performance and load tests for our web and mobile applications.
• You will identify performance bottlenecks and work closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to optimize system performance and ensure scalability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, soak, and scalability test scenarios.
• Analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and system limitations.
• Work closely with developers and DevOps to optimize application performance.
• Create and maintain performance test plans, scripts, and reports.
• Use tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, BlazeMeter, or similar.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend performance improvements.
• Establish performance benchmarks and help in capacity planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand performance requirements and SLAs.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
• Document test strategies and test results for stakeholder consumption.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• ISTQB Performance Testing Certification (optional but preferred).
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing and monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
• Experience in agile development environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in performance testing.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, BlazeMeter).
• Solid understanding of performance testing concepts: throughput, latency, concurrency, transactions per second, etc.
• Experience in testing web-based and API-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP protocols, system architecture, databases, and server performance tuning.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, Shell) for test automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
