    People Specialist

    Our Client in the Energy Industry requires the service of People Specialist to join their team

    Position: People Specialist

    Location: Lagos

    Responsibilities:

    Total Reward and Reporting

    • Oversees the daily operations of Compensation & Benefits (C&B) operations, to include job evaluation and classification, market surveying and analyses, job description development and maintenance, employment contract administration, and job and organizational audits.
    • Reviews staff C&B practices across the organisation to ensure compliance with company policies, local legislation and guidelines, and best practices.
    • Supports the leadership of the People & Culture team in the implementation of staff compensation policies, strategies, programs, and practices.
    • Prepares monthly payroll and statutory deductions within the set time frame using Payroll Software
    • Prepares monthly people analytics reports using automation
    • Provide regular analytics report that will enhance HR effectiveness and assist in making strategic decisions

    Performance Management

    • Develops and implements policies and strategies for the development of departmental performance matters.
    • Monitors departmental and individual OKRs on a regular basis
    • Coordinate quarterly performance feedback and bi-annual appraisal sessions using Zoho People.
    • Plans and implements a comprehensive performance management function for services across the department.
    • Embed/integrates performance management principles within the department including; strategic and service planning, operational service delivery, project and management.

    Organisational Learning

    • Designs, develops and implements training programs for employees using Udemy learning platform
    • Manage and monitor learning content and employees on our Learning Management System, Udemy
    • Designing e-learning courses, career plans, workshops and other learning activities
    • Designs and evaluates individual and organizational development needs
    • Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job rotation, job-shadowing, online training)
    • Designs and delivers e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings
    • Engage with all stakeholders to determine key deliverables for the development of communications and learning programs
    • Develop reports to track interactivity and completion, and utilize criteria and metrics to evaluate efficacy for all training programs and interventions.

    Employee Engagement

    • Ability to work remotely engage employees rewards, performance management and learning and development
    • Engage Line Managers and VP, People & Culture for employee promotions, transfers, and new hires in collaboration with department management
    • Provide input on workforce and succession planning as well as plans business unit restructuring
    • Develop and nurture partnerships through human resources to bridge the divide between management and employees
    • Maintain awareness of the culture, plans, financial position, and competition of the business units under the HR purview
    • Find ways to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity and retention

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, Accounting or any related field. A Master's degree or MBA and a certification in HR is a plus.
    • Minimum of six years of work experience as HR Generalist/HRBP, and a Compensation and Benefits Specialist.
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding and experience in working with multiple human resource disciplines such as compensation practices, organisational diagnosis, performance management, employee relations, and staffing.
    • Proven work experience as Human Resource Business Partner, compensation and benefits, performance management and organisation learning.
    • Ability to measure and analyse key performance indicators
    • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance team
    • Data and People Analytics skills
    • Hands-on experience with Zoho One or any other HR software (HRIS)
    • Ability to take initiatives and drive change
