    Patron Housing Clerk

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Required to follow intermediate level of instructions in performing customer service work while using established routines.  Applies limited analysis and problem-solving abilities in performing job duties.  Performs such duties as data entry, filing, directing phone calls to appropriate personnel, etc.  Serves as a role model in fulfilling the Church's religious mission with compassion toward others and an attitude of devotion to God, while performing tasks of an intermediate level of knowledge and judgment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Working under the supervision and direction of the Supervisor of Temple Patron Housing, the Clerk will perform the following tasks during the hours he/she is on duty:

    • Reception Duties
    • Receive phone calls, emails, and visitors in a kind a helpful manner.
    • Maintain a daily log of all communications.
    • Maintain Priesthood Leader Contact Information (on behalf of the Supervisor)
    • Maintain and update regularly (weekly/monthly) a roster of electronic contact information (phone numbers/email addresses) of unit priesthood leaders within the temple district.
    • Book Reservations
    • By phone, email, or in person using the booking software that has been developed and by following established guidelines.
    • Manage the Check-in and Check-out Process (during designated hours on the schedule)
    • Ensure that all fees are paid before visitors depart.
    • Ensure that all keys are returned to the office before departure.
    • Post and update the housekeeping schedule for cleaning sleeping rooms and other areas of the facility (kitchen, washrooms, etc.) vacated by departing groups.
    • With Leaders of Visiting Group: Maintain ongoing needed contact with leaders of visiting groups in advance of their visits to the temple.
    • Create and Maintain Files and Records as needed.
    • Manage Cleaning, Inspections, and ensure Security (in the absence of the Supervisor)

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
    • Diploma or HND in Hospitality Management or related field.
    • 3+ years related experience or equivalent combination of both education and experience.
    • Good Computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications and cashiering skills. Must be able to learn to use new software. 
    • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
    • Possess good oral and written communication skills.
