Partnerships Development & Fundraising Intern at Wale University

Role Overview

• The Partnerships Development & Fundraising Intern will support Wale Lab in identifying strategic partners, sponsors, collaborators, and funding opportunities that align with our mission and programs.
• This role is ideal for someone interested in partnerships, communications, fundraising, organizational growth, and ecosystem building.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential partners, sponsors, donors, grant opportunities, and collaborators aligned with Wale Lab’s vision
• Support outreach efforts through emails, LinkedIn communication, proposals, and follow-ups
• Assist in preparing partnership proposals, sponsorship decks, and fundraising materials
• Maintain organized records of outreach activities, partnership pipelines, and engagement updates
• Support relationship management with existing and prospective partners
• Assist in coordinating partnership meetings, webinars, events, and collaboration initiatives
• Conduct background research on organizations to strengthen outreach strategy and alignment
• Support fundraising and sustainability initiatives for Wale Lab programs and projects

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Good writing and presentation ability
• Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Ability to conduct effective online research
• Comfortable using Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and communication tools
• Interest in partnerships, fundraising, innovation ecosystems, or organizational growth
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
