    Partnership Manager

    Job purpose

    • The BBC Media Action office in Nigeria is seeking a Partnership Manager to oversee partnership management in a multimedia production for a multi-component Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) programme focused on reproductive health and child spacing in Northern Nigeria.
    • The Partnership Manager will utilise their experience to manage the various stakeholders that will be involved in the project delivery.
    • The Partnership Manager will coordinate and liaise directly with the partners and ensure alignment in the various project activities overseen by each partner.
    • The role reports to the Project Director and will work closely with other partners.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage existing relationships, develop new partnerships, and oversee the integration and execution of partnership strategies.
    • Maintain an up-to-date overview of partner roles, interdependencies, and touchpoints across project phases to support effective sequencing, risk management, and delivery planning.
    • Coordinate partner inputs for donor engagement processes, including progress updates, learning reviews, and audit or due diligence requirements, in close collaboration with Production, M&E and Finance teams.
    • Serve as the first point of escalation for partnership-related risks or underperformance, identifying issues early and working with the Project Director to resolve them.
    • Ensure partners’ activities build up to and enhance the project's visibility.
    • Develop a system of storing, distributing and managing the contents produced as part of theproject deliverables
    • Monitor and ensure that activity timelines are being followed and respond to any adjustments that might be needed including budget.
    • Regularly outline and share the steps, timeline, and responsibilities needed to complete each project activity.
    • Foster collaboration among the partners by scheduling and managing periodic meetings and workshops between the implementing partners
    • Ensure all partners comply with BBC Media Action policies and donor requirements, including safeguarding, editorial standards, data protection, branding usage, and contractual obligations, and support partners to understand and meet these requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Any other tasks assigned by the BBC Media Action to achieve project and organisational objectives.

    Required skills, Knowledge, and Experience

    • Good negotiation skills.
    • Sound knowledge of the media sector
    • Experience in partnership management and business development
    • Knowledgeable in English and Hausa language.
    • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Supervisory experience and ability to motivate different stakeholders
    • Strong understanding of business operations and financial management.
