Role Summary:

As an Ophthalmologist at our client's healthcare facility, you will be responsible for providing specialized medical and surgical care for patients with eye-related conditions. You will diagnose and treat various eye diseases, perform surgeries when necessary, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of patients.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and evaluate patients' eye conditions.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with eye diseases or disorders.
• Perform surgical procedures such as cataract surgery, LASIK, and corneal transplants as needed.
• Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, or contact lenses to correct vision problems.
• Provide patient education on eye health, disease prevention, and treatment options.
• Collaborate with optometrists, opticians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training in Ophthalmology.
• Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
• Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria.
• Proven experience working as an Ophthalmologist, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of ophthalmic procedures and treatments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
