Operations Manager at The Borough Lagos

Job Summary

• The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of Youtopia Beauty, ensuring seamless coordination across retail operations, inventory management, supply chain, sales support, logistics, and customer experience.
• The role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, maintaining stock accuracy, improving processes, and supporting business growth while ensuring excellent service delivery across all channels.
• The Operations Manager will work closely with the Managing Director to execute business strategies and achieve operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring efficiency across retail, warehouse, and administrative functions.
• Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, conducting stock counts, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records.
• Coordinate procurement, supplier relationships, and stock replenishment to ensure product availability.
• Supervise order fulfilment, logistics, and deliveries to ensure timely and accurate customer order processing.
• Monitor sales performance and identify operational improvements to support revenue growth.
• Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare operational, inventory, and performance reports for the Managing Director.
• Lead, coach, and manage the operations and retail teams to ensure high performance and accountability.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and customer service teams to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and operational best practices.
• Support the Managing Director with strategic initiatives and other operational projects as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in an operations management role within the beauty, cosmetics, skincare, fashion, retail, or FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management, supply chain, procurement, and logistics.
• Proven experience managing teams and driving operational performance.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse sales and inventory data to support business decisions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management or ERP systems.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, results-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
