Operations Manager (Media) at Rovedana

‍Job Description: 

• We are currently hiring for the position of an experienced Operations Manager for our client, a Media/Communications/IT company in Lagos. The operation manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company and will work closely with the CEO and executive team to define and execute the company’s short-term and long-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination between departments, including content production, marketing, distribution, finance, and technology. 
• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, implement corrective measures as needed to achieve financial goals and drive revenue generation opportunities.
• Ensure content creation processes are streamlined and aligned with production schedules and distribution strategies.
• Implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the organisation’s progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Identify potential operational, legal, and reputational risks,and implement strategies, appropriate processes, policies, and controls to mitigate them.
• Develop crisis management plans and protocols to ensure business continuity.
• Cultivate relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders to enhance the company’s network and growth potential.
• Collaborate with the relevant teams to negotiate contracts and agreements.

Requirements:

• HND/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Operations Manager, with at least 2 years in leadership roles.
• Experience within the media industry with a deep understanding of content creation, distribution, and audience engagement.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high- performing teams.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development, financial management, and budgeting.
• Familiarity with emerging digital media platforms and technologies.
