Operations Manager at Elvaridah

Job Purpose

• The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations across the company's fashion, lounge, and beauty business units.
• The role ensures operational efficiency, exceptional customer experiences, seamless coordination between departments, and the effective execution of business strategies.
• The Operations Manager will drive process improvements, manage teams, oversee inventory and vendor relationships, and ensure that all business units operate profitably while maintaining the company's brand standards.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:

• Oversee the daily operations of the fashion retail store, lounge, and beauty business.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service standards across all business units.
• Ensure smooth coordination between departments to achieve business objectives.
• Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and statutory requirements.

Team Leadership & People Management:

• Supervise, coach, and manage department supervisors and operational staff.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide continuous feedback and development.
• Coordinate staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage across all business units.
• Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and excellent customer service.
• Identify staffing needs and  work with HR to recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing employees.

Customer Experience:

• Ensure customers receive exceptional service across all touchpoints.
• Resolve customer complaints and operational issues promptly and professionally.
• Monitor customer feedback and implement service improvement initiatives.
• Maintain premium service standards that align with the company's brand identity.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management:

• Oversee inventory management for fashion merchandise, beauty products, and operational supplies.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment with vendors and suppliers.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses, wastage, and stock discrepancies.
• Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile inventory records.

Financial & Business Performance:

• Monitor operational expenses and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
• Prepare operational reports, budgets, and performance analyses.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate reporting, stock accountability, and expense management.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve operational efficiency.

Vendor & Facility Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
• Oversee maintenance of company facilities and equipment.
• Ensure all locations maintain excellent cleanliness, aesthetics, and operational readiness.

 Sales & Commercial Support:

• Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and special events.
• Support merchandising and visual presentation standards within the fashion business.
• Ensure operational readiness for campaigns, seasonal sales, and customer engagement activities.
• Monitor sales performance and recommend operational improvements that support revenue growth.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with labour laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
• Implement operational risk management procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Maintain proper documentation, records, and operational reports.
• Ensure security procedures are followed across all business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Hospitality Management, Retail Management, or a related field.
• A master's degree or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5–7 years of operations management experience in retail, hospitality, luxury lifestyle, fashion, beauty, or multi-business operations.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple business units simultaneously.
• Experience in inventory management, team leadership, and operational strategy.
• Proven ability to improve operational processes and drive business growth.
