Job Brief

• The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that food manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee Production Processes:

• Manage daily operations in food manufacturing facilities.
• Ensure production meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and train production staff.
• Assign roles based on skill and demand.
• Motivate teams to meet production targets.

Quality & Safety Compliance:

• Implement and monitor food safety protocols (e.g., HACCP, ISO).
• Inspect equipment and facilities for compliance.
• Collaborate with quality control departments.

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and optimize production schedules.
• Forecast risks and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Recommend improvements to boost product quality and profitability.

Cross Department Collaboration:

• Work with procurement, sales, and marketing teams.
• Align production with market demand and customer feedback
• Plan, direct and coordinate all organization’s operations. Solely responsible for improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective strategies and methods
• Direct and oversee all aspect of operations and production.
• Responsible for steering the company to the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission and long-term goals.
• Constantly providing strategic advice to the Managing director so that he can have accurate view of the market and the company’s future.
• Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.

Requirements
Minimum Recruitment standards:

• Minimum of a first degree in Food Science or Manufacturing Engineering, or other related fields
• MSc. /MBA degree and/or relevant professional qualification is desirable and would be of added advantage
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience with at least 5years in similar role and organization
• Must have working experience in a Food processing/Agro product company
• Must reside within Edo State/Auchi.
