    Operations Manager

    We are looking to engage the services of:

    Operations Manager – The preferred candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Operations at a Micro Finance Bank, micro lending company or a cooperative. Educational qualification - HND/BSc in any discipline from a recognized institution.  Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision, with great interpersonal skills and ability to manage people. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to communicate in Hausa language.
    Duties and responsibilities – He/She shall be responsible for but not limited to the following

    • Customer service and operational efficiency
    • Regularly review and confirm efficient fund management for maximum benefits.
    • Review utilization of loan, capacity and empowerment of borrowers, etc.
    • Carry out monthly reconciliation of books and ensure reconciliations of all operational reports.
    • Ensure internal controls are properly in place and strictly followed by all staff.
    • Review and monitor all loan applications, disbursements and repayments.
    • Review and monitor the daily activities of all loan and savings collection officers.
    • Cross check passbooks with Loan Officer’s registers.
    • Validate information on loan applicant files by carrying out spot checks.
    • Escalate operational and service issues to management for prompt resolution.
    • Ensure all staff work harmoniously to deliver quality service to customers.
    • Ensure timely rendition of weekly/monthly and quarterly reports to management.
    • Participate in staff training and induction program as may be required.
    • Participate in sourcing and recruitment of new staff and evaluating existing staff in accordance with HR policies and procedures.
    • Ensure staff are trained and maintain very high morale and professionalism.
    • Other responsibilities as may be assigned.
