Job description

• An operations associate in a financial institution performs administrative and clerical tasks to support the day-to-day operations of the business. They may also be responsible for processing transactions and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations

Responsibilities

• Processing transactions: Perform transactions in compliance with financial policies and regulations
• Preparing loan documents: Prepare loan estimates, closing disclosures, and other loan documents
• Onboarding loans: Onboard new loans and renewals
• Reviewing files: Review files and track exceptions
• Ordering verifications: Order verifications, appraisals, title work, and flood determinations
• Filing and releasing liens: File and release liens, such as mortgages, UCC filings, continuations, amendments, and terminations
• Posting payments: Post payments, make draws, advances, and construction draws
• Drafting pay-off statements: Draft pay-off statements
• Closing out escrow accounts: Close out escrow accounts

Qualifications

• ND, HND or Bsc holder in any field
• Experience working in a financial institution
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions
• Ability to educate customers on loan products
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Microsoft excel knowledge is a must.
