    Oil Palm Supervisor

    Job Summary:

    • The Oil Palm Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our oil palm plantation, ensuring the efficient and productive cultivation, harvesting, and maintenance of oil palm crops. The role requires leadership, attention to detail, and technical expertise in oil palm management to achieve optimal yield and quality.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Operational Supervision:

    • Oversee all field activities, including planting, maintenance, pest and disease control, fertilization, and harvesting.
    • Ensure proper implementation of agronomic practices and plantation management standards.

    Workforce Management:

    • Assign tasks to plantation workers and supervise their activities.
    • Train and mentor workers on best practices in oil palm cultivation and harvesting.
    • Monitor attendance, performance, and productivity of workers.

    Crop Management:

    • Monitor the growth, health, and yield of oil palm crops.
    • Identify and address pest, disease, and nutrient deficiencies.
    • Ensure proper application of fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.

    Harvesting and Production:

    • Plan and schedule harvesting activities to ensure timely and efficient operations.
    • Ensure proper harvesting techniques to maximize oil extraction and minimize losses.

    Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate records of plantation activities, including labor, fertilizer application, and yield data.
    • Prepare reports on plantation performance and submit them to the Plantation Manager.

    Resource Management:

    • Manage plantation resources, including equipment, tools, and inputs.
    • Ensure maintenance and proper storage of farm equipment.

    Health and Safety:

    • Enforce health and safety protocols for plantation workers.
    • Ensure the use of protective gear and adherence to safety guidelines.

    Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with environmental and agricultural regulations.
    • Implement sustainable agricultural practices in plantation operations.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in oil palm plantation management.
    • Strong knowledge of oil palm cultivation, pest and disease management, and harvesting practices.
    • Leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in record-keeping and report preparation.
    • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
