Job Description

• We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Lead to join our early years team and contribute to the growth and development of our youngest students.
• The Nursery Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery class, ensuring a safe, caring, and engaging environment for children.
• This role involves leading a team of nursery assistants, planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, and collaborating with parents to support each child's learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring it meets the developmental needs of all children.
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and exploration.
• Supervise and mentor nursery staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Develop strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and well-being.
• Monitor and assess each child's development, identifying and addressing any areas of concern.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, following school policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other school staff to integrate nursery activities into the broader school community.

Qualifications and Skills

• A Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a nursery or early years setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a nurturing, positive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• First aid certification is preferred.
