Role Summary:

As a Neurologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with neurological disorders. You will evaluate patients' medical histories, perform neurological examinations, and develop treatment plans to manage conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough neurological evaluations, including physical exams and diagnostic tests, to diagnose and determine the severity of neurological conditions.
• Interpret diagnostic test results, such as EEGs, MRIs, and CT scans, to assess brain function and identify abnormalities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on their diagnosis, symptoms, and medical history, which may include medication management, lifestyle modifications, and surgical interventions.
• Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and improve quality of life.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding their neurological condition, treatment options, and prognosis.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including neurosurgeons, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in neurology to provide evidence-based care and participate in clinical research studies.

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training in Neurology.
• Board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
• Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria.
• Proven experience working as a Neurologist, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of neurological conditions and treatments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
