Network Administrator at Ascentech Services Limited

Job Summary:

• The Network Administrator/Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the hotel's network operates with maximum uptime, providing fast and reliable connections for both employees and guests.
• This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining network solutions to improve efficiency and security, as well as monitoring and troubleshooting network issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure maximum uptime of the hotel's network to provide fast and reliable connections.
• Design and implement new network solutions and improve the efficiency of current networks.
• Monitor and troubleshoot the entire hotel network and report network status to key stakeholders.
• Maintain network core and access switches and other network devices.
• Back up critical configuration information for core and other critical switches.
• Maintain and monitor guest Wi-Fi networks.
• Assist in troubleshooting any issues on the CCTV network.
• Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
• Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
• Attend to other assignments as directed by the IT Manager.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, OSI models.
• Knowledgeable in various network concepts, protocols, designs, and implementation.
• Deep understanding and experience with Cisco, Unifi, and Mitel network devices.
• Familiarity with wireless networks, IPTV, and IP Telephony systems.
• Proficiency in network fault identification and monitoring tools.
• Excellent judgment, analytical, troubleshooting, and reporting skills.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written), teamwork abilities, and problem-solving skills.
