    Music Production Instructor

    Position Summary

    • We are seeking a passionate and skilled Music Production Instructor to join our creative team.
    • The instructor will be responsible for training young people—especially girls—in the art and technical aspects of music production, sound design, and audio editing, using modern tools and techniques.
    • The role combines practical teaching with mentorship, helping participants gain both creative confidence and technical expertise.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver engaging lessons on music production, sound engineering, and digital audio editing.
    • Train participants to use industry-standard software (e.g., FL Studio, Logic Pro, Ableton, Cubase, or Pro Tools).
    • Guide students through the process of composing, recording, mixing, and mastering tracks.
    • Mentor and inspire students, with sensitivity to their diverse backgrounds and experiences.
    • Collaborate with the organization’s creative/media team on music for advocacy campaigns, films, and awareness projects.
    • Prepare learning materials, exercises, and performance assessments.
    • Provide regular reports on students’ progress.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • A degree or diploma in music, sound engineering, or related field is desirable (but practical experience will be highly valued).
    • Proven experience in music production, sound engineering, or audio editing.
    • Proficiency with at least one major DAW (Digital Audio Workstation).
    • Strong knowledge of recording, mixing, and mastering techniques.
    • Prior teaching, training, or facilitation experience is an advantage.
    • Creativity, patience, and ability to inspire learners.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.

    Added Advantage:

    • Experience producing music for films, social campaigns, or advocacy.
    • Ability to integrate local/Nigerian music traditions with modern production styles.
