Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Lead at Del-York Group

Role Overview

• The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and refining YAPPI’s MEL frameworks to ensure continuous improvement in training programs and outcomes.
• The MEL Lead will play a critical role in assessing program impacts, reporting progress to stakeholders, and driving informed decision-making through data insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop MEL Frameworks: Design and implement a comprehensive MEL framework that aligns with YAPPI’s goals to train and empower youth, especially women, in 3D Animation and Post-Production.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting for all YAPPI programs to evaluate program impact and guide strategic improvements.
• Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare and present detailed program evaluation reports to key stakeholders, including funders, partners, and leadership.
• Capacity Building: Train program staff and instructors on MEL practices, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
• Continuous Learning: Promote knowledge-sharing across departments to facilitate adaptive learning and program refinement.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Statistics, or Education); Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in MEL roles, preferably in the education or creative sector.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MEL software and data analysis tools.
• Competencies: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and experience in gender-sensitive program evaluation.
