Mobile App Developer (Java/Flutter) at OCCE

We are recruiting for a mid-level mobile app developer to join a private team working with a Government MDA in Owerri. The team is responsible for building web-based, mobile and desktop applications and tools for technology-enabled operations and systems.

If you are passionate about technology and use Java and/or Flutter to build great mobile apps for Android devices, constantly seeking to learn and improve your skillset, and you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, then you are the ideal candidate.

Skill/Qualification Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in Java and/or Flutter

• Firm grasp of the Java and/or Flutter language and its nuances, including writing code to connect to devices

• Ability to write well-documented, clean code

• Rock-solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts

• Familiarity with native build tools, like Gradle, Android Studio

• Working with hardware-level functions, such as NFC, Fingerprint will be an added advantage

• Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage

• Experience with automated testing suites

• Proficiency using code versioning tools, such as GIT

• An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor’s degree / HND in Computer Science or a related field

• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of developers and designers to create a web application that runs on multiple platforms

• Create reusable, effective, and scalable code

• Design the data and presentation layer of the application’s front-end

• Translate technical requirements into code

• Test and update applications so that they can be used on Android-based devices
