Microbiologist, Crowns Plant, Ijebu-Ode at Beta Glass Plc

Ensure compliance with regulatory and food safety requirements through the proactive prevention, control, and elimination of microbiological risks arising from environmental sources, personnel activities, and operational processes, thereby safeguarding product quality, consumer safety, and organizational compliance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor, interpret, and report microbiological test results, while engaging with regulatory bodies and consultants to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with  regulatory and customer requirements.
• Conduct sampling and coordinate follow-up of in-house drinking water physicochemical and microbiological analyses, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
• Coordinate air quality  monitoring, personnel swab testing, and food safety hygiene assessments in line with food safety and regulatory requirements.Investigate food safety-related illnesses, injuries, or health concerns through internal clinic records to prevent cross-contamination and promote employee health and well-being.Monitor, review, and report on pest control activities, ensuring effective implementation and compliance with food safety standards.
• Support Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) assessments and compliance initiatives aimed at promoting a sustainable workplace and environment.Serve as the facility's      
• Sustainability Representative, driving sustainability programs and  fostering environmental responsibility.
• Participate Participate in hazard analyses and risk assessments to identify potential biological contamination risks and recommend appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of management systems, particularly ISO 22000, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001, by coordinating and preparing for internal and external audits.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Microbiology, Environmental/Biological related sciences or a related field

THE PERSON MUST HAVE:

Good mathematical skills for the purpose of      statistical analysisBe customer focused with good communication skills 

EXPERIENCE 

Minimum of 1 - 3 years in a similar role
