As the Metal Fabrication QC Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all quality control and assurance processes within the fabrication business units.
You will ensure that all fabricated products meet industry, regulatory, client, and project quality standards while promoting a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control standards, procedures, and inspection systems in line with applicable codes and regulations
Conduct daily inspections, in-process verifications, and quality audits across fabrication activities, including welding, piping, plumbing, and sheet metal works
Ensure regulatory compliance, manage welder certifications, NDE scheduling, documentation control, and preparation of project turnover packages
Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives, analyze quality data, mentor junior QC personnel, and collaborate with engineering, estimating, and production teams
Requirements
B.Eng / HND in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in metal fabrication quality control
Professional certification in Quality Control (ISO 9001 knowledge is an advantage)
Strong knowledge of fabrication codes, welding procedures, inspections, and quality documentation
