Merchandizers Supervisor at Somotex Limited

JOB DUTIES:

• Supervise and lead a team of merchandisers.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Develop and implement merchandising strategies to achieve sales and profit targets.
• Collaborate with management to align merchandising activities with overall business goals.
• Collect and analyze sales data, inventory turnover, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Utilize analytical tools and software to derive insights into product performance, customer preferences, and market trends.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports, highlighting top-performing and underperforming products.
• Provide analysis on factors influencing sales fluctuations and recommend strategies for improvement.
• Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and aging stock.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and propose action plans to address these issues.
• Track the effectiveness of promotions and pricing strategies through weekly and monthly reports.
• Evaluate the impact of discounts, special offers, and pricing changes on sales and profitability.
• Assess the impact of visual merchandising efforts through regular reports.
• Measure the success of product displays and adjust strategies based on performance data.
• Include updates on market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences in regular reports.
• Use market research insights to adapt merchandising strategies as needed.

QUALIFICATION &REQUIREMENT

• HND/BSC
• 2-4 years’ experience as a Merchandizer's Supervisor
• Computer literacy,
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
• Strong knowledge of Merchandizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Hands on experience with Retail management software and databases
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
