Medical Laboratory Scientist at Heritage Kidney and Medical Care (HKMC)

Job Summary

• We are looking for a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist to conduct accurate laboratory tests that support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hematology, chemistry, microbiology, serology, and other diagnostic tests.
• Ensure proper collection, labeling, and processing of patient samples.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers.
• Review and release accurate laboratory results promptly.
• Maintain proper documentation of test results and quality control records.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and proper waste disposal guidelines.
• Participate in quality control and continuous improvement of laboratory services.
• Report equipment faults and assist in resolving technical issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Provide support and guidance to interns or junior staff.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Valid professional license and registration with the relevant regulatory body
• Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience post NYSC.
• Good knowledge of laboratory diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
