Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to support our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure smooth production processes, reduce downtime, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, machinery, and systems used in the manufacturing process.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, identifying root causes and recommending solutions.
• Perform equipment testing, calibration, and adjustments to meet production requirements.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and engineers to improve machine efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company maintenance standards.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machines and production lines.
• Provide technical support during machine breakdowns and production challenges.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., lean manufacturing, 5S, TPM).

Qualifications & Skills

• BSc/HND/ND/Test Trade in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns.
