Mechanical Technician (Jenbacher Gas Genset) at Ascentech Services Limited

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems, with a strong focus on gas gensets.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems.
• Install, assemble, and test mechanical machinery and components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, suggest solutions, and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out maintenance and repair of Jenbacher Gas Gensets (highly preferred).
• Collaborate with the engineering team to support process improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare service reports.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Candidate Profile

• OND/HND or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Technician in manufacturing, production, or power generation.
• Hands-on experience with Jenbacher Gas Gensets (highly preferable).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: N170,000 – N200,000 per month (based on experience).
