Job Description

• We are seeking a responsible, caring, and organized Matron to oversee the welfare, wellbeing, safety, and daily needs of students, particularly within the boarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the wellbeing and safety of students.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive residential environment.
• Monitor students’ daily routines, hygiene, meals, and general welfare.
• Provide guidance, care, and emotional support to students.
• Maintain good communication with school management regarding students’ welfare.
• Monitor students’ conduct and ensure school rules are followed.
• Report health, behavioural, or welfare concerns promptly.
• Support students in maintaining good personal habits and discipline.
• Maintain positive relationships with students while providing appropriate supervision.
• Assist with other student-welfare responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements
Education:

• Minimum of NCE or equivalent.
• Background in Education, Childcare, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field is an added advantage.

Experience:

• Previous experience working with children, in a school, boarding facility, hostel, childcare setting, or similar environment is an advantage.
• Teaching experience is an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates with the right attitude and passion for working with children may also be considered.

Other Requirements:

• Must be compassionate, disciplined, and trustworthy.
• Must be physically and emotionally capable of supervising students.
• Must be willing to work according to the school's schedule.
• Female candidates preferred.
