    Material / Store Officer

    Job Role Summary

    • Shall be responsible for managing and overseeing the inventory of materials and goods within an organization, ensure that the materials are stored, tracked, and distributed efficiently to meet operational needs.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities
    Inventory Management:

    • Maintain accurate records of inventory, ensuring that stock levels are kept within required thresholds.
    • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Monitor stock movements and report any discrepancies or concerns.

    Procurement Support:

    • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials required for operations.
    • Assist in ordering and tracking materials based on usage patterns and project requirements.

    Storage and Handling:

    • Ensure materials are stored in a safe, organized, and easily accessible manner.
    • Follow safety protocols in handling, storing, and disposing of materials, particularly hazardous ones.
    • Ensure proper labeling and categorization of stock.

    Distribution:

    • Issue materials to production teams, departments, or customers as required.
    • Maintain documentation for the issuance of materials to ensure accurate tracking and accountability.

    Record Keeping and Reporting:

    • Maintain and update inventory management software or manual records, tracking stock levels, transactions, and supplier information.
    • Prepare regular reports on inventory status, usage trends, and reorder levels.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

    Team Coordination:

    • Supervise store assistants and ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the store.
    • Train and guide staff on inventory handling procedures, safety, and systems.

    Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure that all materials are handled in compliance with safety regulations.
    • Maintain a clean and organized storage environment to prevent accidents or damage.

    Qualifications

    • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 1 - 2 years experience.
