    Marketing Executive

    REPORTING LINE: MANAGING DIRECTOR

    SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITY: MARKETING OFFICER

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    A competent marketing executive coordinates the marketing team, develops marketing strategies to expand the customer base, and contributes to the development of the company brands. The marketing executive is expected to establish marketing goals and monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preference as well as track marketing performance, return on investment and prepare periodic reports for management review.

    EXPECTATIONS:

    You are expected to develop and implement marketing strategies to penetrate new markets with our furniture products, conduct market research, market trend analysis, and competitive analysis to identify threats and opportunities, and develop marketing plans and activities accordingly. You are also expected to have excellent knowledge of business development processes, strategic planning, competitive analysis, customer relationship management, and in-depth knowledge of the furniture industry. We want to see a refined marketing professional with strong analytical thinking ability who is also confident, proactive, result-oriented, and a good decision-maker. The aim is to increase our corporate client base, drive product success in the market, increase customer conversion and meet profitability targets.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Promote our unique furniture products to corporate bodies and build long-term relationships with these client organizations.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences and position our product accordingly.
    • Develop strategic marketing plans to expand the customer base and contribute to the development of the company’s brand.
    • Implement customer relationship management policies to ensure customer retention/loyalty.
    • Drive and monitor the implementation of the marketing strategies and take necessary action to correct deviations.
    • Source and manage relationships with key distributors and evaluate the effectiveness of services.
    • Coordinate, evaluate and review marketing campaigns, advertisements, to make ensure the standard procedures are followed and monitor the progress of campaigns using various metrics.
    • Maintain good relationships with media vendors and publishers to ensure collaboration in promotional activities.
    • Ensure all marketing activities adhere to the company’s ethics and code of business conduct.
    • Establish close business relationships with existing and prospective clients’ and act as a contract negotiator in transactions.
    • Identify marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements, defining market share, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, forecasting projected business outcomes and establishing targeted market share.
    • Track marketing performance and return on investment and prepare weekly or monthly reports for the management.
    • Develop sales targets and key performance indicators for marketing officers.

    MARKETING EXECUTIVE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis, and statistical methods.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple assignments concurrently.
    • Proven ability to retain existing clients while maintaining an influx of new ones.
    • Ability to motivate and lead people and hold employees accountable.
    • Strong working knowledge of strategic planning principles and marketing best practices.
    • Ability to effectively manage events, press relationships, editorial requests, presentations, promotional materials, and online activities.
    • Ability to oversee and manage the marketing budgets.
    • Effective leadership and communication skills.
    • Excellent organization skills with a problem-solving attitude.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing software (e.g., CRM).
    • Effective persuasive and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to pay attention to detail.

    MARKETING EXECUTIVE SHOULD ALSO HAVE:

    • High level of numerical skills to be able to create keynote proposals and insertion orders independently.
    • Ability to prepare weekly and monthly work reports.
    • Displays integrity - transparency in dealings with management, clients, and other individuals that you may come in contact with.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, to enable professional interaction with clients and management.
    • A flexible, proactive approach to work including the ability to prioritize and re- prioritize.
    • Organize and oversee advertising/communication campaigns (social media, TV, etc.), exhibitions, and promotional events.
    • Initiate and control surveys to assess customer requirements and dedication.
    • Write copy for diverse marketing distributions (brochures, press releases, website material, etc.).

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

    • M.Sc./MBA Marketing, Business Management or related fields.
    • B.Sc. in Marketing, Business Management or related fields.
    • Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience.

    • Strong time management skills, ability to work under pressure to deadlines, and ability to priorities tasks.

    • Ability to be flexible to changing deadlines and work priorities.

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

    • Increase corporate client base by 20% per quarter.
    • Increase company revenue by 5% per quarter.
    • Achieve 95% retention rate of existing clients
    • Increased product awareness.
    • Accuracy of marketing reports.
    • Transparency and accountability.
