Marketing and Communications Intern at Optimal Greening

Job Description

• Manage OGF's social media channels by creating compelling content, scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and closely monitoring analytics for performance optimization.
• Utilize graphic design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, CorelDraw, WordPress, and Google Suite to create visually appealing content, including graphics and videos, for various communication channels.
• Assist in planning, promoting, and executing events to enhance OGF's outreach and impact.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather information, align messaging, and maintain a consistent brand identity across all communication materials.
• Provide support to the administration and program teams in various marketing and communication tasks.
• Contribute to fundraising initiatives and campaigns to advance OGF's mission.
• Demonstrate the impact of OGF's projects in Nigeria through compelling storytelling and visuals.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

• BSc. in Mass Communication, Marketing, or any related field.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, CorelDraw, WordPress, and familiarity with Google Suite.
• Strong writing abilities with an eye for detail in creating engaging and informative content.
• Experience in managing various social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, along with a solid understanding of audience engagement best practices.
• A good grasp of marketing principles and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A genuine interest in Non-profit projects and the ability to effectively convey their significance.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
