Managing Director - Microfinance at Bridgemead Consulting

Responsibilities

• Own the P&L and strategy for retail & MSME lending, low-cost deposits (CASA), agency banking, and digital channels.
• Ensure strict compliance with CBN MFB Guidelines & Prudential Standards; maintain NDIC standards, AML/CFT controls, consumer-protection frameworks, and timely regulatory returns.
• Design and manage credit programs (micro/SME, salary advances, LPO finance) with robust underwriting, credit scoring, collections, and portfolio analytics.
• Drive the digital banking roadmap (including Tiered KYC offerings, e-wallets, cards, USSD/app journeys, and fintech partnerships).
• Strengthen Asset-Liability Management (ALM) & treasury operations (liquidity buffers, interest-rate risk management, contingency funding plans).
• Lead risk governance (serving on Board Credit/Risk Committees), internal audit remediation, and cyber-security posture.
• Build a high-performance field & branch productivity culture; align incentives with responsible finance principles.

Qualifications and Requirements
Education:

• 12–15+ years in retail/MSME banking with 5+ years leading an MFB or a significant retail banking unit.
• Proven experience engaging with the CBN.
• Strong credit-risk management background; hands-on experience with digital banking rollout is highly preferred

Certifications:

• Relevant professional certifications such as CIBN, ICAN, ACCA, or other recognized financial and financial institution in qualifications are required.
• Certification in risk management or corporate governance is an advantage.
