    Manager

    Overview of Role

    • The Manager is responsible for implementing and overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of Nourishing Africa helping to identify, secure and engage donors and funders. The position reports directly to the Founder of Nourishing Africa.

    Responsibilities
    In this role, you will be required to fulfill the following primary responsibilities:

    Operations:

    • Manage the overall operational responsibilities and activities of the organization.
    • Prepare, submit, and work with the Accounts team to track and report on quarterly budgets.
    • Plan and implement efficient systems and structures that fulfill the mission and goals of the organization.
    • Plan and allocate resources to meet organizational productivity and goals.
    • Make strategic decisions that are financially and ethical responsible, accountable, and justifiable by the organization’s and funders/partners’ policies and procedures.
    • Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems.
    • Review performance data that includes impact, activity, and financial reports to monitor and measure outcomes and overall effectiveness.
    • Prepare periodic reports for the management and board, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
    • Benchmark global best practices and ensure constant review and modification of standard practices as required.
    • Coordinate all communications and logistics related to the designated stakeholders relevant to the organization.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by the Board. Development • Develop and execute the organization’s fundraising strategy.
    • Identify and engage potential donors and funding sources.
    • Prepare and present packets and background materials to potential funders and partners.
    • Draft grant proposals, reports and correspondences and be responsible for their timely submission.
    • Engage donors and sponsors through regular feedback, meetings, and events as required.

    Human Resources:

    • Work with Human Resources to recruit and engage personnel for the organization.
    • Provide oversight and direction to the employees in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
    • Delegate responsibility and institute systems for accountability and feedback.
    • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among staff members, promote a culture of diversity, cohesiveness, and support, and ensure an enabling environment for each employee and department to succeed.
    • Actively contribute to a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization.

    Public Relations and Advocacy:

    • Implement a variety of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
    • Write press releases as required.
    • Collaborate with the team, partners, and stakeholders to raise the organization’s profile across the continent and globally.
    • Organize and attend industry events and network with relevant stakeholders.
    • Establish good relationships and goodwill with the media and members of the public.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years work experience.
