Maintenance Technician (Maritime) at Proforce Limited

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Escravos (Delta state). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. You will play a critical role in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, determining the root cause of problems and implementing effective solutions.
• Conduct inspections and tests on equipment to identify malfunctions and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Assist in the installation, assembly, and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineers to improve maintenance procedures and reliability.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment.
• Assist in emergency repairs as needed to minimize equipment downtime.
• Keep the maintenance shop and work areas organized, clean, and safe.
• POSITION  TYPE: initially contract employment renewable after 3 months of P.O.C (proof of concept)

Qualifications:

•  Minimum of HND or certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• SALARY RANGE ; 250000-300,000
