Maintenance Manager at The Space

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Maintenance Manager for our client. Your core responsibilities are to oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the hotel’s facilities. You will be charged to ensure that your colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget. A good maintenance manager will have a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will be well-versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have an aptitude for undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
• Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
• Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
• Ensure all department workers adhere to the health and safety policies and procedures
• Plan and manage all repair and installation activities
• Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a maintenance manager
• Relevant Bachelor's degree
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Ability to keep track of and report on activity
• Experience in planning maintenance operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members
• Competent in problem-solving, team building, planning and decision making

Salary - N120,000 - N150,000

Location - Ikeja, Lagos
