    Maintenance Manager

    Role:

    • The Goal of the role includes:
    • To oversee and lead a team of people by allocating workload and managing the day to day operations in the maintenance department.
    • To co-ordinate resources and liaise with internal and external key contacts to ensure work is delivered on time and to a quality standard.

    About the Role:

    • Responsible for job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and work allocation for daily operations.
    • Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
    • Where vehicles or machines repairs identified are critical in terms of Mechanical or financial viability, report findings to the line manager
    • Ability to act as a technical adviser on key projects and other areas of the business as requested
    • Develop and implement systems to record, file and store information pertaining to workshop maintenance history
    • Identify staff that require on-going training and implement training opportunities to ensure their skills are improved
    • Promote health and safety culture within the maintenance workshop
    • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering background or related field with 
    • Solid knowledge and understanding of Electrical/Mechanical repairs of tools and machines
    • Minimum 3 years and above experience in workshop management.
    • Qualifications and experience in related disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, R&A etc.
    • Work experience in a farm environment will be an added advantage
    • Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint and database management
    • skills; ability to write analytical reports, create presentations, prepare statistical reports.
    • Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
    • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
    • Cost conscious
    • Possesses integrity and ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
    • Accurate and precise attention to detail
    • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
    • Goal-oriented and highly organized team player.
