    Maintenance Manager

    Role Overview

    • As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing all installations, repairs and upkeep operations of our company’s facilities. 
    • Your duties will include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, developing maintenance procedures, and managing the maintenance budget and resources.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.
    • Maintain all machinery to ensure they work at designed operating performance standards.
    • Create and implement maintenance procedures.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
    • Plan and manage all repair and installation activities.
    • Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
    • Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.
    • Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
    • Coordinate activities of the maintenance team to ensure the effective upkeep of the facility, and poultry production and processing assets
    • Maintain parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders, invoice approvals, and manages the department budget.
    • Develop and manage protocol for maintenance emergencies
    • Supervise the timely repair or replacement of faulty machinery or equipment parts, ensuring minimum downtime in poultry production and processing operations
    • Provide training and continuous development to all maintenance personnel
    • Conduct performance evaluation of direct reports at least twice a year
    • Drive a maintenance strategy focused on preventive and predictive maintenance approach.
    • Coordinate work with external parties, providing project management, ensuring safety of personnel, and performing other duties as required
    • Develop associate and supervisor skills by conducting training meetings; one-on-one development schedules; outside technical skills training; establishing and monitoring performance reviews for supervisors
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule

    Job Requirements

    • HND or BSc. Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical engineering
    • A Master’s degree - added advantage
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance.
    • Previous managerial experience is a bonus.
    • Good understanding of plumbing, metal work, mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Strong knowledge of the workings of the facility’s machines and equipment.
