Job Description

• The Health and Safety Manager develops, implements, and oversees workplace safety policies to ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
• To safeguards employees, equipment, and the environment from hazards and promotes a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Organize training sessions to enhance staff awareness of safety practices.
• Investigate accidents/incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain proper records of incidents, inspections, and compliance audits.
• Liaise with external agencies, regulators, and auditors on safety matters.
• Drive continuous improvement in workplace safety culture.

Qualifications

• HND/Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related fields.
• 3-5 years work experience.
• Professional certifications are highly desirable.
