Machine Technician – FMCG at Ascentech Services Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled Machine Technician with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in the FMCG industry to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and efficient operation of production machinery.
• The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of electrical systems, power supply, utilities, AC systems, and gear operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production lines.
• Monitor and maintain power and utility systems to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Diagnose faults related to electrical power supply, control panels, motors, sensors, and related equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure machines operate within required safety and performance standards.
• Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain AC systems, including understanding their operating principles and common faults.
• Understand and troubleshoot gear systems, including gear operation, functions, alignment, lubrication, and wear.
• Maintain accurate records of machine breakdowns, repairs, maintenance activities, and spare parts used.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to minimize machine downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational procedures.
• Participate in preventive maintenance schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• OND / HND / B.Sc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 - 4 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an FMCG/manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems and industrial power supply.
• Practical understanding of power and utility systems.
• Good knowledge of motors, control panels, sensors, switches, and electrical components.
• Strong understanding of AC operation, functions, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of gear systems, gear operation, alignment, lubrication, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work shifts and respond to production breakdowns when required.
