Job Purpose
- To coordinate, control, and manage bleached oil filtration activities.
Principal Accountabilities
Maintains And Sustains Quality, Safety, And Environmental Standards:
Key Activities:
- Ensure that the required quantity of bleached oil is filtered to the required quality standard without earth passage.
- Ensure compliance with all Business Unit SOPs and SOCs (Standard Operating Conditions), and that all operations comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), safety standards, and provisions.
- Undertake washing of the PLF floor, heel drop area, and other housekeeping activities.
- Change damaged PLF “O”-rings and assist the PMT in coupling the PLF after fixing the leaves.
- Drench spent earth to prevent incidents of fire or fire outbreaks.
- Document all operations as required.
- Perform other tasks and activities as delegated by the supervisor.
- Ensure investigation and correction of deviations in process behaviour and escalate issues for prompt attention when necessary.
- Understand roles and responsibilities and the importance of conformity with Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Implement and comply with Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements relating to environmental aspects, impacts, and applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Avoid spillages when handling raw materials and semi-finished goods.
- Performance Indicators:
- Level of oil redness, yellow, and blue compared to quality specifications.

- Ensure that manufacturing operations meet stipulated GMP requirements.

- Possess good knowledge of GMP requirements and their application on site in line with GMP standards (PZC GMP standard/NAFDAC requirements).

- Ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) and continuously improve the system.
- To Ensure Adequate Time Management
Key Activities:
- Employ time management tools to plan daily activities effectively while identifying value-added tasks.
- Review use of time against company objectives and KPIs, prioritizing A, B, C, and D tasks.
- Identify and eliminate time wasters.
- Ensure accurate timekeeping (e.g., return from breaks, start-up time).
Focused And Accurate Performance Measurements

- Understand how performance measures work and why they are important.
- Demonstrate how measures deliver business benefits and ensure all measures are completed on time and aligned with targets.
- Identify lost time and plan vs. actual losses and take corrective action.

- Work with the Shift Supervisor to continuously improve plant performance while adhering to legislative and company standards.
- Work closely with other shift-based leaders to prioritize activities and achieve plant targets.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience Needed
Required Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- 1–3 years’ work experience in a similar position.
- Ability to withstand stress and work under pressure.
