Machine Operator and Graphic Designer at Westingate Group

Job Description

• To install machines, maintain and operate machinery.
• To work with mechanical or computer operated equipment.
• You must be technically inclined and be able to properly utilize tools and machinery like the plotter cutter printing machines and the heat press machine.
• You will create visual communications such as adverts, branding and creative designs.
• Work with other team members to produce content.
• Create guidelines for how logos and other branding materials should be displayed and used.
• Help make design choices (e.g. fonts and colors) for all content the company will use.
• Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral.
• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule.
• Perform retouching and manipulation of images.
• Operate machines in order to aid in production process.

Experience and Skills

• 1 - 3 years of experience in Graphic design and Operating machinery.
• Must have an eye for pleasing color schemes, fonts and shapes.
• Ability to use various creative software programs to develop designs.
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print and the web.
• Knowledge of adobe photoshop, illustrator, sketch, indesign and other graphic design software.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent eye for details.
• Ability to work and communicate well with others.
