Machine Learning Engineer at eRecruiter Nigeria

Our client is a FinTech company start-up working to fix the problem of financial inclusion through machine intelligence. They are recruiting for a Machine Learning Engineer to join the Lagos team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ETL scripts
• Develop and implement analytic dashboards
• EDA and predictive model building & deployment
• Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques.
• Data mining using state-of-the-art methods.
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
• Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner.
• Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
• 1+ years experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or Data Analyst.
• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
• Knowledge of Python is compulsory
• Experience with common data science toolkits, such as NumPy, Scipy, Pandas, Matplotlib (MatLab) etc.
• Experience with cloud computing with AWS/EC2/ELB/S3/DynamoDB
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as D3.js, GGplot, Plotly or Bokeh
• Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig etc.
• Experience with databases, such as MongoDB, NoSQL, Postgre SQL
• Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
• Great communication and presentation skills.
